Life
I was born on 8th May 1986 into a family not that financially
sound but rich in music. We stayed at Valiyavila, Trivandrum district.
God has blessed my parents and both my brothers with music. My parents
enriched my talents and made me what I am now.. Without them, i could
never have pursuied my carrier in singing. My mother was a music
teacher and I started learning music from her at the age of
three.
I cannot go without mentioning the institutions where I studied
and the teachers who encouraged me.The prize that won first was for mimicry, in 2nd std at Govt. LPS Thrivikramangalam where my mother was working. Then onwards my parents encouraged me to participate in competitions for other events as well. I continued my education through Thirumala UPS and Abraham Memoria Higher Secondary School, Thirumala. At the age of 12, I started learning music under renowned guru Prof. Aryanad Raju who strengthened my foundation in Carnatic music. I graduated from Sri.Swathi Thirunal College of music Trivandrum, affiliated to University of Kerala and did post graduation too from there. My days in Sri.Swathi Thirunal College turned out to be a turning point in life.
I achieved the first rank under the excellent guidance
and teaching of my teachers. It was in this period I got the
opportunity to contest and win the title of Idea Star Singer 2007- The
prestigious show of Asianet. Idea star singer took me to a different
platform. It fulfilled my life long ambition to be a playback
singer.The victory at Idea Star Singer fetched me fame and the chance
to perform at various stages.
The journey was never smooth, but I was fortunate enough to ride
along. I am indebted to all my wellwishers and my family who have been
my pillars of strength in difficult times. Now, I am in a beautiful
phase of my life, but every night, someone deep down inside whispers
to me:
My dreams are high and I have to fulfill them. I take with me your
prayers and support, which will make my dreams come true.
